Creativity in creating various fashion design seems not only limited to the design made of cloth. Evidence, Lady Gaga shattering success using clothing made of raw meat while attending a music awards event in the year 2010.
After the emergence of this meat dress, many British designers are getting inspired to create fashion from material that is not common. Even a British designer, George Nemsadze from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design created a beautiful dress from sheets of nori (seaweed sheets used for sushi). George nori dress was created in collaboration with the Pan Asian restaurant Chini Latino in the event of London Fashion Week.
It uses fifty green nori sheet moss and combined with silk organza. This dress is featured with geometric patterns and detailed panel on the box-shaped nori a shiny coating.
Albert van der Westhuizen, Brand Manager Chino Latino restaurant revealed that London Fashion Week is a time to celebrate all that is beautiful and unique, including the creation of a unique synergy of food and fashion, including fashion to architecture.
Maybe this is not the first time, Sushi used instead of fashion. If you are a fan of Sex and The City, will probably remember the scene where Samantha Jones (Kim Cattral) using sashimi as clothes. Here, Samantha uses sashimi to cover the entire body as a Valentine’s gift for her boyfriend.
